The Captain Scott Room

This Historic room is where Captain Scott attended a banquet two days prior to his departure to the Antarctic. Restoration was completed in spring 2006.

The Royal Hotel Cardiff is the perfect location for a wedding ceremony and celebration, our dedicated events team will ensure every 'Royal' wedding is tailored exactly to suit you – traditional in style, but with modern comforts and facilities. Our Captain Scott Room can accommodate a full sit down Wedding Breakfast for up to 130 guests with an exclusive bar, dance floor and private cloakroom facilities.

If you are planning a smaller, more intimate gathering for up to 30 guests, you can choose from The Lounge Bar or one of our other smaller suites. We would be delighted to show you around the Hotel and have an opportunity to become a part of your special day.
